Senior Product Manager
Company Overview
The company is a fast-growing fintech business focused on helping people access credit and save money. It has rebuilt the core consumer finance products — loans, credit cards and car finance — from scratch, and has been profitable since 2017. It is one of the UK’s newer unicorns, with a team of just over 700 people, and is expanding into the US market alongside its established UK business.
About the Role
The company is looking for a curious, data-driven Senior Product Manager to join its US team. The role owns customer acquisition and growth for the US credit card product, contributing directly to the company’s long-term strategic trajectory. The hire will join as the team proves out the book and moves it into its next phase of growth, working within a small, fast-paced, data-driven team. The role suits someone analytical and iterative who solves problems from first principles.
Core Responsibilities
-
Acquires customers efficiently across direct mail, paid, aggregator and affiliate channels, building new channels and optimising conversion funnels
-
Shapes the mobile app experience to drive activation, spend and engagement
-
Owns the end-to-end origination journey, from first touch through to an approved and activated account, including one-click and open-banking-enabled applications and new product offerings
-
Builds new credit products such as cash back and rewards cards
-
Owns key partner integrations, including network, affiliate marketplace channels, and transaction/payment processing vendors
-
Improves underwriting and fraud prevention capabilities to increase approvals without compromising credit quality
-
Owns channel economics — CAC, payback and unit economics by channel and cohort
-
Uses AI tools to build, test and analyse faster than a team of that size could otherwise manage
Key Impact Areas
-
Product Vision & Roadmap — Owns the strategy and roadmap for the US card product, working across Credit, Growth, Design, Data Science and Compliance to reach and then exceed market parity for the target segment.
-
Hands-On Execution — Acts as a hands-on builder, writing and resolving tickets, prototyping, and owning implementation and design decisions directly, using AI tools as a force multiplier rather than waiting on engineering capacity.
-
Data-Backed Decision Making — Applies strong intuition and curiosity to data, using AI to handle assembly work so more time can go into decision-making, and champions experimentation throughout.
-
Outcome Focus — Sets clear, measurable goals, judges success by results rather than output, makes calls under ambiguity, and course-corrects when evidence requires it.
Candidate Experience Required
-
4+ years of Product Management experience
-
2+ years in consumer lending, ideally credit cards
-
Experience at a startup or owning a high-growth product in a fast-paced environment
-
Strong technical fluency across decision engines, APIs and data flows, with daily use of AI tools to prototype, analyse and ship
-
Ability to combine data, customer understanding and market signals to drive prioritisation
-
Strong numerical intuition across funnels, cohorts and P&Ls, with a habit of investigating anomalies (deep SQL expertise not required)
-
Demonstrated ability to stay focused on broader objectives without getting lost in detail
Interview Process
-
Introductory call with a team member
-
Case interview with a member of the Product team, focused on growth and originations, using real numbers
-
Final round interviews with the CPO, Cards MD, and product/engineering team members
